Ali Rowenna is a photographer and writer living and working in Seattle, WA. Ali utilizes analog techniques to deliberately open the tension between perception and reality.

Her first tools as an artist were paintbrushes and pens, and she has invested most of her time in the past seven years to her film photography practice. However, she is still an avid seamstress and painter.

In 2017 Ali earned her BA in Communication Studies (with an emphasis in PR/Marketing) and a BFA in Photography/Multimedia Art from Seattle Pacific University.

Whether she is writing a cheeky tagline about a fresh pair of denim or is exploring subcultures in her photographs Ali has forged a sense of home in the grey spaces.

Current Projects:

Ali currently works in the nonprofit industry in Marketing. Creative side-projects include an installation series of fabric paintings and photo series on personal style.
